Here at Devils Pit Barbecue we start off making our Coyote Ribs by starting with the highest quality of a rack of ribs you can find, and rubbing it down with our homemade “Lilith Rub (Heaven heat level) which combines the perfect amount of brown sugar, Kosher salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, Chile powder and cayenne pepper.” From there, we fire up our smoker and smoke the ribs low and slow at 180F for 4 hours. Every hour, a Devils Pit Barbecue Minion will go out to the smoker and mist the ribs with apple juice.
Just as that timer is beeping we immediately remove the ribs from the smoker and vacuum seal them to preserve their freshness. We then flash freeze the ribs to safely preserve them. Once we are done on our end our ribs can be shipped to you. Where you can either cook them on the spot or freeze them until you, or your family, are ready to eat them.
Easy Prep Instant Pot Ribs Step 1: Take Coyote Ribs out of the freezer and defrost in hot water for 10-15 minutes. Step 2: Remove Coyote Ribs from packaging and place in Instant Pot with 8 oz bottle of apple juice cover with Instant Pot lid. Step 3: Set to high and cook for 30 minutes. Optional/Preferred: If everyone you are serving likes the same Devils Pit barbecue sauce, you can remove the ribs from the Instant Pot, cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and place the ribs on it. Baste the ribs with your favorite sauce and place in the oven for 15 minutes for the Coyote ribs to tighten in the barbecue sauce. Finish Coyote Ribs off by topping them with Devil’s Pit own “Utah Style BBQ Sauce” (Fruit Based BBQ Sauce). Enjoy! Caution they will be HOT!!!
Question & Answers:
Doesn’t freezing Coyote Ribs make them not as good as if they were made fresh at my home?
Believe it or not, the freezer actually makes them BETTER! There is a curing process that makes the meat have more flavor after being frozen for a period of time that Devils Pit BBQ has figured out.
Can I substitute the Apple Juice for another liquid?
Yes & No, The apple juice gets the right flavor that is paired with our Coyote Ribs.
The other substitute is to add Pineapple Juice. If you like a Hawaiian style Pineapple Juice can add a great flavor base to our Coyote Ribs.
What if I want my ribs to not fall off the bone, but want a little tug?
You can cook them for 15-30 minutes less and they won’t fall off the bone as easily. Allowing you to actually work for the rib meat!
What if part of my group doesn’t like spicy flavoring but I do?
With Devils Pit Barbecue’s Coyote Ribs, it allows you to finish them without adding the barbecue sauce to the ribs. You can cut the ribs up and have different levels of heat in our barbecue sauce to please everyone at your event or party.
What if I don't have an Instant Pot?
Instant Pot ribs are the fastest way to cook them, but to have the best ribs use the oven with an aluminum foil pan and bake for 2 hours at 350F. Written by Lucifer
